ASCENSION 101 AND THE MAYAN CALENDAR
Ascension is word we are hearing more and more these days, but what exactly is it?
Metaphysically speaking, Ascension is the belief that the collective consciousness, earth, the universe and this plane are moving into the next level, sometimes referred to as the 5th dimension. Ascension, then, is basically a change in frequency, a change in consciousness. In other words, a raising of your energy to a higher vibration.
The Mayan Long Count Calendar ends on December 21, 2012. Contrary to the belief of many, the world will not end on this date. What will happen, however, is that we will move astronomically into the Galactic Center of our Milky Way, and all the planets in the solar system will be aligned in a straight line. This is known as the 2012 planetary alignment, or Grand Cross.
This Grand Cross signals the end of an age. Further significance of the date December 21st, 2012, is that it falls on the winter equinox or winter solstice, when the sun reaches its lowest point in its orbit. In astrology, the date December 21, 2012 gains additional impact as it is the date that marks the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, not just for planet Earth, but for our entire solar system. What does that mean? It means we are moving away from the old ways, time as we know it, and this three-dimensional world of fear and materiality.
Now, back to Ascension and what it means to you as an individual.
Energy is never static. The frequency of your energy can be changed and is changing. As the vibration of your physical and spiritual bodies becomes less dense and incorporates energy of a higher nature, you will begin to see and understand things that were not possible before. This will become more apparent as the veil between “here and there” is lifted as part of our transitioning into the new world as our consciousness continues to develop.
I want to stress that Ascension will not suddenly happen at 12:01 AM on December 21, 2012. We are already in the process and are now seeing many manifestations of our rising vibratatory rate - a new way of thinking and a new way of living. Once we realize that we are all experiencing this shift, even though many do not recognize these changes at this time, we will be able to rise above the fear-based thinking that keeps us bound to the present into a new and vital energy, one that will propel us toward unimaginable freedom of thought, word and deed.
Ascension is for everyone! It is not limited to age, race, creed, color or religious beliefs. It is a new way of life for all of us and everything on this planet. What we previously perceived as the only way to think, feel and act is being stripped away and is giving rise to a new paradigm, a shift that will enable us to recognize that the chains of the three-dimensional plane are truly being broken.
The Pyramid of Kukulkan at Chichén Itzá, Yucatan, Mexico, was constructed circa 1050 and was built during the late Mayan period. The pyramid was used as a calendar: four stairways, each with 91 steps and a platform at the top, making a total of 365, equivalent to the number of days in a solar calendar year.
