For nature lovers everywhere, this is a wonderful LIVE Safari web site, the only one of its kind, that comes to your computer 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from Djuma Game Reserve, Sabi Sands, South Africa.
"Jump on" the new Landrover (affectionately called the Ganda) with the Ranger (also called the Presenter) and the Cameraman and take three-hour LIVE drives through the Reserve, frequently going off-road into the bush for a sighting. Observe Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Cape Buffaloes, and Rhinoceros (the Big 5 of wild animals) and many more South African Wild Life species in their natural environment. Follow the movements of "Karula" (which means Peace) Djuma's resident Leopardess, and her two cubs, "Mixo" (which means Dawn or Sunrise) and "Induna" (which means Chief), and enjoy chatting with other viewers from all over the world. Email your questions to the Director in Final Control at questions@wildearthsafari.tv, and they may be answered LIVE during the Safari drives!
UPDATE!
January 2011
Mixo and Induna are now more than two years old and have left their mother Karula to form their own territories, although they are still in Djuma. WE do see them occasionally, along with their father, Yambilu Jordaan.
Karula has now given birth to a new litter of cubs, a female and a male, as yet un-named! It is exciting to watch these cubs develop as WE follows them and their mother Karula.
This is a family oriented site and many classrooms around the world are enjoying Wildearth.tv, an educational as well as fun site! The Presenters have a wealth of information on the animals, birds, trees and plant life in South Africa, and often relate their own experiences in the African Bush!
Live safari drives are presented twice daily and times are posted in Central African Time (CAT) on the information page on the site . You can use the Universal Time Converter at http://www.timezoneconverter.com) to convert CAT to your time zone.
When WE (acronym for WildEarth) are not on a Safari drive, a LIVE camera operates from Gowrie Dam, a favorite watering spot for Djuma Game Reserve's animal, bird and other Wild Life species. You just never know what creatures will come calling at the Gowrie watering hole at http://www.wildearth.tv/saf-gowriedam-01!
There are many LIVE special events at Wild Earth.tv, including LIVE Fireside Chats, where the Presenters amaze us with their knowledge, tell stories of their sightings, or have interviews with interesting people involved in the widlife industry. LIVE Fireside Chats are always fun and informative!
I must give you fair warning though, once you have experienced a LIVE Safari drive through Djuma Game Reserve,or tuned into the LIVE camera at Gowrie Waterhole, you will be hooked!
I hope to see you all on the next LIVE Safari drive from Djuma Game Reserve, Sabi Sands, South Africa, with the crew from Wildearthsafari.tv! Don't forget to log into the Safari Chat to meet other like-minded people!
And, by the way, I am not associated with Wildearthsafari.tv or any of its affiliates. I am just another addicted viewer!
So get ready for the most exciting LIVE Wild Life Safari in the world - without leaving the comfort of your own home and enjoy the surprises that could pop up just around the next bend!

From the Djuma Game Reserve site:
"Saving the Safari Cam
By Djuma on July 27, 2011 in General
'Dear Djuma community,
'We have decided to help save the LIVE Safari broadcasts. We have worked with WildEarth since their inception years ago and they have always strived to produce what nobody else does, a twice daily LIVE safari broadcast. Think about what that means, out here at the edge of civilisation they have dared to produce six hours of live safari broadcast with presenter, and crew, and back up systems and all this while driving through a rough landscape dodging trees and such whilst looking for the great beasts of this world, including dangerous creatures like elephants and lions. And this short sentence does not do it justice and one could write a book on all the trials and tribulations, triumphs and false starts that lie behind this audacious experiment in creating a virtual community across the world that daily share in this drama we call safari at Djuma Game Reserve.
'Well, the experiment looks about to end since all of these things in our world are dictated by economics; from WildEarth’s and Safari Television’s point of view the losses were no longer sustainable. This is where Djuma and you the audience come in … Djuma will operate these drives as cost-effectively as it can, and you the audience help us increase traffic to our two cameras (Djuma Waterhole cam and Djuma Safari cam) so that we can apply the income from them to the operating expenses associated with these cams; this is the only way we will ever be able to save and make these cameras sustainable. We are very pleased that both Marc and Tara have agreed to come work for Djuma to keep bringing you these drives and will announce the third person as soon as we have final confirmation."
